Can anyone tell me what the difference between gel and acrylic nails? They just seem the same to me? Smiley

Hi yasmine

Do you need to know because you want to have a set done or do you want to do a nail course, because there are differences between the two. Ive done a gel nail course and I wouldn't do an acrylic nail course, because I work from home and acrylic smell is so strong you would have to have a well ventilated room. Gel doesn't set until you put the nails under a UV lamp so this would give yo more time to work at them. Acrylic sets within 2 minutes or so the time to work/practice with them is limited and can be very expensive when you're training. Hope this is of help to you.

Thanks Bluebell yeh im going to do a gel nail course I just could never understand the difference Cheesy
So basically the gel is easier to work with...and I suppose more popular
